House Fundraising
Harvest
House Ministries is a not for profit organization
with an annual operation budget of 2 million dollars.
100% of our funding
comes from the community.
Fundraising is the lifeline of Harvest
House. Not only does it keep the doors open for the
next man who wants a second chance, but it also offers
the residents the opportunity to learn important life
and work skills while contributing to their own rehab
costs. Residents and graduates of the program work in
the phone room, helping to achieve a sense of accomplishment
and developing self-esteem.

The
Harvest House Annual Card Campaign
2008 marks Harvest House’s 6th
Annual Card Campaign. There is tremendous talent at
Harvest House and this year we held weekly art contest
amongst the residents and staff to help gather artwork
for this year’s selection of cards. This was incredibly
successful and developed into weekly art classes.
The launch of our Card Campaign not
only raises much-needed funds for our important program
but also gives residents work skills, sales training
and greater self-esteem. Every aspect of the design,
production, printing and packaging of the cards is completed
at our Skills Development Centre by the residents and
graduates. The people who call you selling our cards
are not professional sales people, they are the men
of Harvest House who have made sincere commitments to
changing their lives.

The
Harvest House Annual Calendar Campaign
Harvest House is dedicated to helping
young men to live better lives. With the growing need
for alcohol and drug rehab, Harvest House has risen
to the challenge and in its 25 years of operation has
served hundreds of people and saved many lives.
The Calendar Campaign is the longest
running and most successful of Harvest House’s
fundraising campaigns. We started knocking on doors
in the community and have developed a large number of
loyal and committed supporters who believe in the work
that we do. Through your support with the purchase of
one of our calendars you can save a life.

22nd Annual
Recovery Cup
On August 22, 2009, Harvest House will host the Recovery Cup Softball Tournament at Centennial Park in Manotick.
This year marks the 22nd anniversary of this remarkable event, in which teams from Harvest House (the Underdogs and the Overcomers) will compete against teams from the RCMP, Fire Department, Ottawa Police Service, Probation and Parole departments, and many more.
For over 20 years this tournament has brought together members of the community and law enforcement with the young men in recovery at Harvest House in a spirit of friendly competition.
Best of all, 100% of all the money raised in ticket sales for this event will be channeled back into the program to help Harvest House achieve its mission, to help young men recover from drug and alcohol addiction
