COVID-19 and Harvest House

March 24, 2020

Dear Community Members,

As the COVID-19 crisis escalates, Harvest House Ministries wants to let our many friends and faithful donors know how we’re responding.

This is a time when our faith is put to the test and we are trusting God to see us through this unprecedented time. We presently care, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for 20 residents in treatment and 12 residents in aftercare.

For the safety of our residents and staff, we have minimized traffic in and out of our facility. We have arranged flexible hours for the staff and rotating shifts for supervision needs. This means minimal time for our administrative staff on site and working from home whenever possible.

Due to the Government’s call for social distancing and our desire to be good citizens, we have had to cancel our fundraising activities.

At present, we are able to keep all our staff employed and paid and we can put food on the table. However, based on all the predictions that this pandemic could last for months, we are reaching out to ask for your continued generous financial support, until we can get back to our fundraising activities.

We trust that, like us, you are self-isolating, practising social distancing and doing everything to stay safe.

This letter is coming to you from the founders and operators of Harvest House Ministries, the Reverend William and Katherine Main. We are 82 and 84 years old respectively and are doing everything we can to ensure that Harvest House Ministries is still around when this is all over.

God bless and stay safe.

William and Katherine Main
