A special thank you to everyone who has reached out to help us during this difficult time of COVID-19.
We could not do what we do without YOU!
April 8, 2020
Dear Harvest House supporters,
Your generous response to our recent letter was a true blessing for this Ministry.
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
We are just completing three weeks of lockdown with no one amongst our staff or residents falling ill and we thank God for His Goodness. We hope that you and your loved ones are also well and staying safe.
At Harvest House, staff on duty have continued to teach classes on addiction, recovery, and life skills on a daily basis. Unfortunately, our GED program has been put on hold, as it is taught by volunteers. However, the enrolled residents have taken the opportunity to spend time reviewing their work in preparation for the upcoming exams.
We are also conducting prayer meetings using ZOOM, a video communication tool. The residents join other members of our church to share and pray for their families and the safety of many others in this critical time we face.
As we continue to practice physical distancing, we have also temporarily put our fund-raising activities on hold. We will be cancelling our Redemption Run this year, held annually in the first week in June. However, we are optimistic about holding our 33rd Recovery Cup Softball Tournament in August 2020. After the extended need to stay home, this will be a much anticipated day—to be out in the sun and fresh air, exercising, and having fun together.
Again, we want to express our appreciation for each and every one of you and let you know that you are in our prayers, as we thank God for your goodness to this Ministry.
God Bless,
William and Katherine Main
